The Pain of Others
The work consists of a conversational performance, reading groups and constellation work.
- How can we relate to the pain of another we cannot reach? A woman will bare witness of her pain through a story. Inspired by Susan Sontag we question our relation to pain. In a carefully created space, the work is a performance, a constellation, a conversation and reflection at the same time.
- A reading group in specific communities (e.g. psychiatric hospital in Bruge)
- A conversation and constellation about community traumas (e.g. national holocaust museum Amsterdam)

Everything Depends on How a Thing is Thought is a series of conversational performances and dialogues. Taking 4 different subjects, they explore how the individual and the community are related and how the community influences the individual and vice versa. The performances are inspired and make use of fiction, philosophical and anthropological texts, theatrical means and sculptures. They are a co-construction with other artists and/or philosophers, psychiatrist, psychologists and other people involved in the topics.
